my version of the disease and thoughts…..

Question:

Hi Stacey Sounds like a good approach. Especial thanks for the tip about a good cover-up – it’s a question that gets talked about here periodically, but probably not often enough and also one I bet more people are interested in than speak out to ask. Where you say it doesn’t look like make-up is it light enough that you think guys looking for a coverup might be willing to try it?     I am 30 yrs. old with approx. 5-10% psoriasis on my body.  I have the guttate-type psoriasis and it has absolutely no tendency to go to one particular place on my body.  It just appears wherever it wants to.  I am very conscious of my outward appearance as I work in retail environments. Whenever I have psoriasis breakouts on my face, I elect to use Clinique soft corrector cover-up to hide it.  It is non-irritating to my skin (which is also prone to breakouts) and does the trick without looking like make-up.     I "try" to lead a health-conscious lifestyle but often fail miserably. I do though try to aggressively treat my psoriasis along with seeing a fantastic doctor at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO.  He is involved in a number of clinical trials for psoriasis and he is currently prescribing narrow-band UVB for my psoriasis.  It is always important to keep the skin moisturized in addition to (most) therapies is important as well.  I’ve tried so many different products that were recommended to me by dermatologists, etc.  I really like Clinique Aloe Body Balm and Jason – 98% Aloe Super Gel.
