Why keep kidding ourselves ????……….

Question:

> ……with all these hopes that a dietary change is gonna get rid of > this stuff?

Ahem, You said "Clear"! I may feel your flakery (and pain) on my surface level, yet deep down on the cellular level the p battles rage on. > If it was as simple as a dietary change, wouldn’t someone have > stumbled across it in the last, oh, I dunno, couple thousand years?

Well, p’s got lumped in with lepers and had the heartbreak i suppose, in other peoples minds. That very funny asshole Paul lind (sp?) had P, didn’t he? It really ticked me off over the years when he went into that heeartbreak of p rant. Like what the heck was i suppose to do, jump from bed to bed, to prove no heartbreak from my P. Yet, he was a drunk and died of colon cancer, i think off the top of my head. Hey, i didn’t itch it anywhere. And remember my post from the jewish ng? Tazaaraat? It was like from 2600 yrs ago. Don’t eat meat and fish in the same meal. It causes tazaraat. A p like disease. So don’t tell me they didn’t have a clue. I have cut back my surf and turf meals almost 100%. hehe Yah, and no shrimp cocktails either, before meaty meals. > If it were as simple as a dietary change, wouldn’t there be some > culture already eating this particular way that had proved to have no > psoriasis at all?  Doesn’t it seem to be pretty much 2% around the > globe?

Man, that is a great question. I think about demographics all the time. I mean, if we knew the rise in eczema due to a westernized diet on some rural indigenous peoples, it would prove alot of the studies already cited right here in this ng. Heck, in my mind i live on P-island. What if i only eat sushi or shashimi and coconuts? (Ceviche too) > Isn’t it most likely the case that any "minor" improvements attributed > to dieatary changes are actually just the usual ebb and flow that’s > typical of this disease and then these "improvements" are mistakenly > associated with the dietary change?

No. I can go whacko on food and my triggers and control it at WILL. On www.thewholewhey.com diet and implant i cleared over 80%. I would think without the implant and only on the diet most would clear at a bare minnimum of 50%. Due to the condition and amount of good flora in the colon in the first place. So, lets say i start smoking, drinking a couple of vodka and grapefruit juice drinks before dinner each nite. Eat high AA (arachi- donic acid) foods like pork, egg yolks, red meat and dairy on down the list. Then raise my omega 6 profile by say eating or drinking a cup of soy bean oil (or any vegetable oil, cept-flax, walnut or saturated fats like olive) and the conditions are ripe. So, remember the titanic. It took 20 or so events to bump into that berg and most of it lay hidden under the surface of appearances, so to speak. And p flakes are just the tip of not only our collective angst, but also a rube goldberg experience. > If it is indeed a problem with our immune systems, (which seems to be > the general scientific consensus), and we eat in a very healthy > fashion, are we not just supplying ammunition to the enemy?

No. I can go from 10% coverage to 75% in a matter of a month or shorter if i did the above. And then i can and have gone back to nearly zero in as short as a few months. So, while some misguided souls, brag about clearing in 4-6 months, i laugh and smile at their ignorance. (my mona lisa smile) As i’ve already lapped them going around the bases in half the time. Now, are my triggers the same as yours? Do you react to omega 6 and hydrogenated fats (trans) somehow differently from me? ?God i hope not. It blows my theories to P-kingdom come. Who is gonna control all those varibles in some double blind study? It would be a monster of a study if you think about it. And for some of your insite full reasons as well. > Believe me, I’ve tried many things and if eyeball soup would get rid > of this curse, you’d never see ANYTHING else on MY table, but so far, > I’m just not seeing any evidence. > What’s next…."I SWEAR, a couple weeks of bat ear soup, served at > exactly 80 degrees, and I was practically clear." > Sorry folks, just a little frustrated right now.  Can ya tell?

Hadn’t noticed, i’m to upbeat to accent the downbeat. Its a syncopated p attitude that prevents any negativity that may affect my psycho nerve physical interface goom u la. Ya dig? Whats for dinner around your house sounds like a drag. I cheated last nite and guess what that caused more cheating. If i had a nice cup of green tea with a slice of ginger i may have allayed my impish peckishness. But what the HAY, i ain’t flaring about it as i can cheat up to a point if i follow the rules the rest of the time. randall… The oral fixation is a real fork in the mouth!

If it was as simple as a dietary change, wouldn’t someone have stumbled across it in the last, oh, I dunno, couple thousand years? If it were as simple as a dietary change, wouldn’t there be some culture already eating this particular way that had proved to have no psoriasis at all?  Doesn’t it seem to be pretty much 2% around the globe? Isn’t it most likely the case that any "minor" improvements attributed to dieatary changes are actually just the usual ebb and flow that’s typical of this disease and then these "improvements" are mistakenly associated with the dietary change?
