Entocort and psoriasis?
Question:
Yes, I had the same experience in the past when lowering the pred dosage but this time I’ve been on a combination of budesonide(3 mg.) and prednisone(5 mg.) which is rather low yet this time the psoriasis seems more stubborn than in the past. I’ve been using entocort off and on since late November. I think I’m having side effects. So, I’m sort of playing with the dose to find out how much is right for me. Since I started taking entocort I have had rashes on my arm, hand and last night I got a rash on my thigh. The thigh looks like psoriasis / eczema. I have had a history of psoriasis and eczema. Although I haven’t had a rash in almost ten years, since I started taking 6MP. Are you happy with the results you have had with entocort? Just curious if anyone other than myself has experienced psoriasis as a possible side effect of entocort(or budesonide as it’s also known). However I can’t say with complete certainty that this is in fact a side effect. I’ve had the problem before taking the med and there may even be some genetic thing at work here(my brother who doesn’t have IBD has a long term psoriasis problem as well). Mark Mandell
